My brother and I were close as boys, properly close, the way you only really are with someone before life has had much chance to get in the way. We played football together constantly, and once even went on a tour to Germany together, me in the under-16s, him in the under-13s, spending most of our time together off the pitch regardless of which age group we were meant to be sitting with.
